French Toast Custard

Rich, fluffy, and delicious, this French Toast recipe is sure to be a crowd pleaser at your next brunch.


  • ⅛ cup flour
  • 1 cup milk or cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Sliced bread
  • Heidi’s Jam
  • Whipped cream
  • Maple syrup



  1.  In a large bowl, whisk all ingredients together except for flour and bread.

  2. Sift flour into mixture and combine.

  3. Preheat griddle to medium and lightly butter.

  4. Dip bread in custard mix, allowing it to soak up a good amount of the liquid, being careful not to tear bread when flipping it and moving it to griddle.

  5. Fry each side on the griddle for about 4 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. Stack desired amount of pieces and top with Heidi’s Jam flavor of your choosing and whipped cream. Maple syrup optional.
